"Grow dat youth." (Week 70)
Week one done of my last transfer. It was pretty good y'all.
Tuesday was pday. We went to the art and science museum, took some pictures at the levee, then signed transfer journals at the church. Then had institute that night.
Wednesday was transfers! Got my new companion, got groceries, got her unpacked, met with some members and the elders. Not too exciting.
Thursday things got going. We finally got to do free speech alley, which is the proslyting activity we do on campus. It was fun, and we got some phone numbers from it. Then we did service, then some finding. Pretty normal.
Friday was district meeting and weekly planning so not a ton happened.
Saturday I started My Plan! It almost felt like an out of body experience. It doesn't feel real. Home seems like just an idea, not a real thing.
Other than that we mostly had lessons with recent converts so Curzon could meet them. I had a ton of fun that day. We also took some pictures with Mike the tiger.
Sunday was the bomb! We got to go down to New Orleans to sing at a interfaith MLK celebration:) I took a video because they allow that stuff. It was just fun to be in NOLA. Then we came home in time to console a member who had just had a heartbreak, and she cried on my lap for a good hour.
So that's mission life. Pretty good. Hope everyone else is doing great. Love y'all!!
Out of context quotes:
"Dogtrilliquist"
"The brown sause on the bock bock bock."
"My husband, my best friend besides Jesus..."
"Do you think the Atonement can get this chilli stain out of my tie?"
"Thank God they didn't name him chicken little. Thank God they didn't name his sasquatch. Thank God they named him Martin Luther King."
"We all need someone to take our trash. But God can recycle our trash."
"Grow dat youth."
