"I'd rather be friends with Hitler than take a morning shower." (Week 67)
We had our Christmas zone conference!! I love those. A third of the
mission gets together and we wear ugly sweaters and sing listen to
instructions and have a gift exchange and tri-tip lunch and president
dresses up like Santa and it's the best.
I had to give my go-home testimony which was the weirdest thing because
it's not my last transfer. But next transfer there will be a general
authority there which means no traditions, so we did them all today.
It's getting a little bit real.
We did service at this gift wrapping station at the mall and that has been the best. I am really good at wrapping pretty gifts now.
We have been having a lot of really good phone lessons with people since it's break and everyone is back home. But that has been keeping us busy and our people are doing great.
There was one day that I literally had fried chicken for every meal and I'm not happy about it. Was not in my control. It's just the south.
Every day feels like a sprinf and it's literally Christmas eve. This is not okay.
The Varner's (my mission president and wife) family are in town and they wanted to spend time with the missionaries, so they invited us over for dinner and a testimony meeting with all the kids and grandkids, and it was amazing. Those kids and precious, and the adults were so sweet and encouraging. I am so grateful to have the Varner's.
And IT'S CHRISTMAS TOMORROW!! I hope y'all have the bestest time where ever y'all are at. Eat lots of food and open presents and sing songs and hug people and be so happy to be alive. I LOVE Y'ALL!!!!!!
Out of context quotes:
"That was a good attempt at being a conspiracy theorist."
"My lungs are stronger than 4000 warriors."
"I'd rather be friends with Hitler than take a morning shower."
