"Cry into your tumeric" (Week 68)
First and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY
TOMORROW TO THE GREATEST DAD EVER!!! Y'ALL HIS BIRTHDAY IS NEW YEARS
DAY!! Sorry I'm not there to make your spice cake. Love you dad.
Also I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I did because I got to talk to my family!! I love them. Family is great.
So for some stories from this week.
Christmas eve we did a big breakfast with the other missionaries for pday and that was good.
Christmas we reenacted the nativity before opening presents. Then we Skyped, then went to meet the family of a recent convert and played with those dentist things that stretch your mouth out and makes it hard to talk and I got some really good videos of my companion.
We went tracting a couple of times this week, and in the whole week ONE person opened their door and they didn't even want to hear a message. Campus is dead y'all.
But somehow we still have stuff to do. Mall contacting works. Especially in Bath and Body Works (75% off y'all). Found this nice lady who goes by Prince.
One day this dude from the middle east randomly called us and asked if we could teach him more about Christianity so that's cool.
One of our people texted us and said that she is finally ready to get baptized and she is praying about a date in January!!
Another awesome experience was when we were doing a video call with a recent convert. They were saying that they were struggling to feel close to God, and that their prayers felt like talking to a wall. So obviously we asked her to say the closing prayer, and in the prayer she told God that she has felt distanced from him, and all of us felt this warmth come over us, and she kind of paused. She finished her prayer, and afterwards she described how she felt. She started crying because she knew it was God showing that He loves her. They tell missionaries that when you feel the spirit in a lesson, you know they are feeling it. And it is good to know that that works even if you are in different cities.
And now it's 2019!!! How did this happen!! Hope y'alls new years resolutions last longer than a week;) Love y'all!!!
