Berry Bistbas band ba bappy bew bear (Week 65)

My fwends! How are y’all? This has been another busy week. But that is about to change because it’s Christmas break and campus is EMPTY. Here are my highlights.
For p-day last week I did a painting instruction and everyone did very well:)  Sadly I didn’t get any pictures. Then for FHE we did a white elephant gift exchange and I got a butt penguin mug.
A girl the Elders are teaching took Merrill and I out to lunch because she is our best friend.
We have taught a lot of lessons this week and I can’t even start with all of them. A lot have been to recent converts. I’m pretty sure about half of the active people in this ward have been baptized in the last year and they are doing amazing!
Our bishop got permission to take us to Slidell to help at the Bishops Storehouse, and that was a party. We lifted lots of things and cut lots of boxes, then got Crackerbarrel.
We knocked on the door of the cutest girl and she was so excited about the Light the World thing. We asked her how Christ has helped her in her life and she started crying about how He helped her out of a difficult childhood and she has seen God through the service of other people. She wants us to come back and teach all of her roommates.
Friday I was not very in it. That happens sometimes. All that kept me going was the knowledge that we were going out to dinner with two girls from the ward who are basically the best.
Saturday was actually amazing. We helped at the bishop’s storehouse, this time in Baton Rouge. Then we went to Denham Springs to sing some Christmas songs at this nativity thing. I sang with Elder Ritchie and it went pretty well. But then we had 5 more minutes to fill for our time slot. So Elder Ritchie and I stood back up, as did a piano player. Then we grabbed Sister Merrill so we would have some alto, then a base joined us and we sang some awesome 4-part harmony songs and it was amazing. The videos might be on Facebook.
While we were in Denham we met with a ysa age recent convert that I worked with when I was serving there. There we had one of the most amazing conversations. I can’t share the details because it is very personal to her, but I just want to say that faith and the Atonement of Jesus Christ truly can change people. He is making us out to be people that we never thought we could. I am so grateful that I get to see Christ’s Atonement work in people’s lives.
That’s pretty much it! I love y’all!! Stay warm if you are in the northern hemisphere! I love y’all!!!
