Milk the ricotta (Week 59)

Greetings loved ones. I am out of ways to start my emails.

On Monday I totally sucked at volleyball, but crushed at chair soccer. This is what my 6 years of AYSO soccer prepared me for. Then we had fun at FHE that night roasting marshmallows over a bonfire that just about burned our eyebrows off.

Tuesday/Wednesday one thing led to another and we found ourself about 4 hours away at a doctor's appointment for my companion in Monroe, Louisiana. At this point I have seen pretty much the entire mission.

Thursday the main thing was finding service. Actually a lot of places turned us down which was weird. I mean it's not like that is anything new, but usually people are happy with free labor.

Friday, we did service at the food bank (they didn't turn us down:), where we milked ricotta cheese like a cow. They had been sent a ton of 30 pound bags of ricotta cheese, and they can't just give those out to people. So we would cut a corner off and squeeze the partially frozen cheese out like icing into gallon sized bags, which is still a heck of a lot of ricotta for one family. We turned it into a contest and Jensen and I are cheese squeezing champions.

After that the mission nurse came to hang out with us because she got bored in the office, and she drove us to the farthest reaches of our area that we wouldn't be able to get to otherwise which was awesome.

Sunday we found some awesome people. One was this cute girl that used to be taught by the elders. She was so excited to talk to us and told us to come back soon so we could keep talking about the gospel. We also met this really sweet old couple that are so prepared. They asked the most inspired questions, and by the end they were so excited to read the Book of Mormon. We asked them to read a certain chapter, then they said "but surely it would be best to read the whole thing right? Because I want to read all of this." SCORE!

There you have it! The Church is true! I love you all! I will talk to you soon!!!
