They call me Sister Roadshow (Week 47)

Monday wasn't too exciting. Emailing, lunch with the office couples, some cleaning. Then we read some of the Book of Mormon with someone we are teaching, then a dinner appointment.

Tuesday was district council which I always love. Then that night we visited a lot of members and practiced the lessons with them.

Wednesday was pretty much the best. We had our big service morning, helping at the Walker Baptist church who always sends us away with food, then at A Door Of Hope. Then that night we had the best lesson ever with Z. She invited her neighbor and her son and the spirit was there and she said she feels this church is true and she agreed to be baptized!! We don't have a date for her yet but that is our goal for this week:)

Thursday was not good for me. I was stressed and emotional and not very effective. Not for any real reasons, but Satan mostly. We did have a really good dinner and lesson with a member, but it was still just one of those days.

Friday was mostly just service and weekly planning. But I did feel better than I did on Thursday.

Saturday was good. I got asked to sing at a funeral in Baton Rouge. We sat by some nonmembers and were able to answer their questions about our belief of life after death. They really seemed touched by the spirit and the talks that were given. I didn't even know the lady but I teared up a good number of times because it made me think about how grateful I am for the knowledge we have of the plan of salvation. It gives so much peace and comfort, really in all aspects of life. Knowing that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father, and that someday we can go back home. It puts the hardships in this life into perspective.

Sunday was another spiritual high. The youth had just come back from a stake conference in Nauvoo, so they all bore their testimonies. Some of them found the first seeds of testimony, one received a clear prompting that she needed to go one a mission, and all were just in awe of the spirit that they felt there. I'm still a little bummed that missionaries weren't invited;) But despite that I still have a firm testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith, in the Book of Mormon, and in the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We really are so blessed.

So there is my week! I hope everyone is doing great. Let me know how you are doing! I love y'all!!

Also I don't have out of context quotes for this week, but Sister Oaks has a tendency to whisper random things and it's pretty funny so I have been writing them down:)

"I live in America."
"Basic white girls."
"Guys let's all get along."
"Shoooo is, hmmhmmm, it's trooth."
" Sometimes I just do things (slow nod)."
