"There were jellybeans nailed to the wall!! Who does that!?" (Week 46)

Oh boy what a week. My week might not sound to crazy, but it felt crazy. Probably because of transfers. That throws everything off. But it's been fun:)

Tuesday was pday. We emailed, had lunch with some members, then we explored antique district. Which is literally a street full of antique shops and it is so cute. Then we did some rounds of saying goodbye to people because both Washburn and Coon were getting transferred. Then that night my dreams came true. A ward member has a recording studio in his house, and we got to go there and have some songs professionally recorded!! It was amazing. I felt so legit. We sang Gethsemane and a medley of Come Thou Fount and If You Could Hie To Kolob. Give me some time and I am going to drop an album.😉

Wednesday was transfers. I waited at the church for a good while, saying hi to some friends, and saying goodbye to others:( Finally Sister Oaks got there. We went home, unpacked and got to know each other. Then we went with the youth to sing for some old people, and some of them started asking about family history so we started teaching them:)

Thursday was ward coordination, then we went with a sister in the ward to visit some other sisters that could use a pick me up. That was really sweet. Then we did service at the retirement home, and my new friend Jean told me 17 times that I am a pretty young lady and she hopes that I stay here forever.

Friday was district council. Our district got rearranged and I kind of love it. Then we met with a family whose daughter wants to get baptized, so we are teaching her the lessons.

Saturday was awesome. We went to the farmers market and talked to so many people. Everyone was so friendly. We found 3 people that were interested in meeting with us and reading the book of mormon:) Then we did some service painting more furniture, while the biggest rainstorm was going on outside. It was great.

Sunday I gave a talk on service and missionary work. Mom I gave you a shout out. Thanks for letting me talk to you for hours on end without getting annoyed. That was great service❤️. Then President Varner came and did a fifth Sunday lessons with the ward about member missionary work. Fun fact, for every 50 people that missionaries teach by themselves, only 1 is baptized. But when members are involved, the ratio goes from 50 to 1, to 4 to 1!! Get involved!!

So yeah that's my week. Hope y'alls was good. Go read Mosiah 2:6 and compare it to Genesis 13:12 and ask yourself what direction are you pitching your tent. I know this church is true and I know that God loves you, and I love you too!! Talk to y'all next week!
