Honeycrisp, the Cadillac of apples. (Week 44)
My humans!! How are you? This week actually went by way fast. It's weird
being back at pday so quick. But that's good because it means I'm
having fun.
Monday we went to the Baton Rouge Zoo for pday, and it was awesome! I think my favorite part was watching Elder Dover freak out about the animals he had never seen before. Also we met this guy working and told him about the Church and Book of Mormon and he actually seemed pretty interested. After that we had a dinner appointment where we played a standard works trivia game called Seek and I dominated in the old testiment deep doctrine.
Tuesday we had district council, then exchanges. I went to LSU with Sister Bangerter. We gave a chapel tour and that went awesome. I could tell the person getting the tour really felt the spirit when we showed him the baptismal font. I also got to hear the conversion story of this college guy that was high looking for some mushrooms on a weekday, but instead he found the Church and wandered into the chapel and started repenting and the bishop walked in and got his info and now he is baptized and saving up for a mission. The gospel changes lives. Then we taught English to a Chinese student. Then we had the loudest dinner appointment ever.
Wednesday we had pt 2 of exchanges, which was mostly institute in the morning. Then we exchanged back and had a lesson with little Chloe. Her family is starting to get interested in the Church so that is exciting! Then weekly planning and mutual.
Thursday was awesome! We had ward coordination, then we had some awesome comp study of PMG. Then we did service at the old folks home. They are so cute. Then we had an evening full of lessons. We taught the Book of Mormon to a lonely less active, then the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a really less active youngish adult. Then we taught the restoration to a recent convert while I did her eyebrows:)
Friday was my 10 month mark!! Crazy!! Today was another full day. We did service, went to lunch with a member, then we went on splits. Coon went with the member to visit less actives, and Washburn and I had some lessons with people we are teaching. We visited Bonnie who was having a really hard day, and she kept saying that she knows that God sent us to her at just the right time. Then we had a really good lesson with Eleanor, who wants to get baptized! Then we went to the church for comp study, where they just happened to have MLC and we just happened to get there when they were getting out, so I got to see some homies. Then we studied, then went to dinner with one of the office couples:)
Saturday we did a ton of yard work for an older lady. It was hot and sweaty, but we had shade and lots of water and I caught a frog and a giant grass hopper, so I had a pretty good time.
Saturday was usual church church church then a dinner appointment with some of the funniest ward members.
So yeah. That's my week. Honestly it was awesome. I freaking love being a missionary. And I love the gospel. And I love air conditioning. And I love my friends and I love my family. I hope you all have a great week!! TTFN!!
Sorry I don't have out of context quotes this week but I will next week!!
