Don't go to a Latin club and sit in the corner by yourself, that's weird." (Week 40)
Sup fam and friends? How are you doing? I am doing pretty swell here in Denham Springs:) I'll just get right to it:)
Tuesday was P-day, last in Natchitoches. For lunch we went to this fancy Cajun place (two words that don't normally go together) that I have been wanting to go to. It was pretty good. Then we went to the dollar store and found some stuff to make our apartment look more lived in and home like. Mostly we goofed off and made food puns. Then we got froyo, and watched lightning from the parking lot.
Wednesday was my 9 MONTH MARK!! And it was also transfers. We got up bright and early and drove down to transfers. As always transfers is the hottest day of the month. Sister Washburn and I spent the first little while together just talking and unpacking. We did go to a lesson with the most adorable 8 year old, then back to talking and unpacking. This is going to be a good transfer.
Thursday we had ward coordination. Then we had dinner with a really fun member Sister Ete. She gave us some good marriage advice:) Then later that evening we had a dinner appointment with a sister that lives in our same complex. She has 3 kids and they are adorable. Then as we were leaving her house, her neighbor came up and started talking to us about everything he knew about Utah and we couldn't get away for like an hour!
Friday we started with service at a thrift store:) if we find something we want they let us take it home, so this could be dangerous😅 Then we had district lunch and district meeting. We did a game where we practiced teaching the restoration, but there were certain words that we couldn't say, like love and apostasy, and if we did then everyone had to take a shot of spicy tomato juice. After that we had some awesome lessons with awesome people, and it was a good day.
Saturday us an a bunch of members did yard work for a lady, and I sweated buckets and we caught a frog:) Then we came home and showered before going to a lunch appointment. After the appointment we did comp study and weekly planning and dinner then we met up with a recent convert so I could meet her and she is so cool.
Sunday was FATHERS DAY!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD! I LOVE YOUUUUUUU!!! Today was lots of church bc we are over 2 wards. We helped in singing time in primary and that was a party. Then after church we had a dinner appointment bbq, then we visited a less active and played with her adorable cat while talking about the Book of Mormon.
So yeah that's my week. Still getting to know the area, but I love my companion and the ward so I'm pretty happy. I hope y'all are doing well! Keep me updated!! I love y'all!!!!
Out of context quotes;
"Anyone who works at subway would make a good Mormon."
"Being in love with Jesus us the best love that you can have. Marry Jesus."
"Man, that car is missing a handle bar."
"Elder Dover is still trying to figure out the apostasy."
"Don't go to a Latin club and sit in the corner by yourself, that's weird."
