"Soldier boy song, Shawn the sheep version." (Week 34)
Hey everyone! This week was an interesting one for me. This week was
transfers, and the other set of sisters got closed out which means we
are taking over all their people, and I got a new companion, which means
I should be the one that knows what's going on, but unfortunately I
don't, and that freaks me out. That was the worst run on sentence ever
but I'm not going to fix it. Anyways... So it wasn't the most successful
week, but there were tender mercies in each day, so I made it through:)
Tuesday was P-day and I had fun rearranging the apartment while Sister Long packed. Then we had dinner with some members so she could say goodbye to them.
Wednesday was transfers. We drove down to Alexandria where I waited for Jensen to arrive. I got to go on a mini exchange with the STL's and we tried some people and tracted around before going out to lunch.
Thursday we cleaned and Jensen unpacked and I got to get to know her better and we told each other all of our stories. Then I took her to meet some people.
Friday was district meeting, which was so fun. Love the new group. Then the rest of the day was a lot of trying to figure everything out, which is slow going. Then we went to a birthday party for a little bit and talked to some people. Then I brought Jensen to meet some more members. Then we went to say goodbye to E who is moving back home to New Orleans for the summer. I am going to miss her.
Saturday started out really tough, if I'm being honest. I was just feeling really down on myself, and kind of panicked because I still don't know what is going on. I know I don't need to have my life all together, but that just really got to me today. Sister Jensen gave me a good pep-talk, and we got invited to my first crawfish boil!! It was so much fun! They were so big! I started getting scared that I would never get to one, but now I can check it off of my bucket list. I will send pictures.
Sunday we had a good day at church, then we spent a while fixing a ton of the addresses in our area book planner app. That takes a long time. Then we had FHE and we watched the young adult BYU devotional. Which was phenomenal btw.
So yeah, that's my week. Good and bad, but that's life. I hope y'all are doing awesome. I love hearing from you, and I love you!!
