"I hear there is a cafeteria in the temple, do we have to bless that food before we eat it." (week 35)

Y'all I hit 8 months what the heck! Where is the time going? I am getting so close to my half way point and it is making me realize I don't want to miss anything. But stupid human nature gets in the way but it is okay because I am working ever so slowly on changing that.

Monday was P-day. We went to the Smiths for another wonderful lunch, then we went fishing in their backyard. But instead of fishing I painted a watercolor of a mermaid because it's #MerMay. It was all pretty fun. Then we did more fixing of the area book map.

Tuesday we drove over an hour to Leesville for district meeting, which I had a blast at. Theatre friends! I explained the spirit animal meditation to them and blew their minds! Some of them want to do it next P-day so we will see. We also had a good instruction about prayer, making sure your prayers are aligning with God's will, and making sure your investigators know how to pray. Then we went to lunch, then I drove another hour home and we did yet more area book because we are going to finish it dang it!

Wednesday was fantastic! Not really any crazy stories, I just felt good. We had an awesome comp study reading the talk "be 100 percent responsible" which everyone should go read. Then we had a lesson with an investigator K. She is moving so we have 10 days to baptize her or another set of missionaries are getting the most solid referral. Then we finished the area book map! Yay! From there we were able to go out and try contacting all those potentials. One person let us in and we talked for a bit, some others we just met and made a return appointment, and some were not to be found. Really not too crazy. The weirdest thing was probably this giant box of hangers in the ghetto. But it was nice because I had gotten into a bit of an emotional rut the past week, and I'm thankfully getting out of it.

Thursday was another good day. We did service at the genealogy library and Sister Jensen was on cloud 9. Then we had some appointments and tried some potentials. Then we ended the day off at the Zachary's where we talked about marrying smart, getting your degree, and not being racist.

Friday we did a hecka lot of weekly planning, and I called about 44,230 people. Mom you would be proud. We just have so many people to sort through.

Saturday we worked hard out in the sun. We drove up to the edge of our area to find some people in this little town. We found a really cool investigator named Whitney who had requested a Book of Mormon and is trying to come back to Jesus. Most people had disconnected phones or wrong addresses, so we tracted around when we couldn't find them. At one point we found ourselves on this 87 year old mostly blind black lady's porch and she adopted us as her children and gave us a lot of mints that she had in a big pile on her lap.

Sunday was MOTHERS DAY! I GOT TO TALK TO MY FAMILY!! They are doing great, at least that is what they told me:) It was really fun. Thankfully it wasn't too emotional. After we talked we had a dinner appointment with some of our favorite members and that was a ton of fun too.

So that's my week. Pretty good. I hope y'all are doing fantastic. Also shout out to Samie for getting her mission call to Scotland/Ireland! And to Emily who is entering the field in Cambodia this week! Y'all are going to rock it!!! I love you all!! Keep emailing me:) The church is true!!
