"That cop better stop, I got a midget crossing." (week 21)

Two exciting things, I got me smart phone!! And I am getting transferred!!! I am going up to Alexandria with Sister Knuteson, who I don't really know, and I am going to be living with some members that I hear are awesome so I am pretty excited. My new address is

110 Twin Bridges Rd, Alexandria LA, 71303

To get into my week. Monday P-day, us and our roomies went to Cajun Village, a place where they have all these cute shops with Louisiana stuff. I bought a Louisiana flag, and saw an ALLIGATOR! After that we caught up with some other missionaries for some chilling in a wooded area. Some dumb elders did their best to climb into an abandoned barge, but mostly failed epically.  Then that night we had a recent convert FHE about FHE at the bishops house, but the only recent convert that showed up was the one that was introduced to the church through FHE, so she didn't really have anything new to learn. But it totally helped me strengthen my testimony of family home evening though!

Tuesday we had district meeting, then I got my phone!! It was pretty exciting. I still don't know how to use this thing. Then we had a dinner appointment with this old lady, and she literally had me say a prayer with Jesus Christ Superstar playing in the background.

Wednesday was pretty good. We did service at the Old State Capital. Then we spent some time with Kathy and we cooked with her:) We also had a really awesome lesson with C and L. Mostly just answering questions, and they have really good questions. They are reading the book of Mormon so much!

Thursday we had USS KIDD, then we took some quick pictures of Richie by the levee with her flag. Then we visited some referrals, and one of them let us in, which was cool. But what wasn't cool was the cockroaches and rats running around😝. Then we got our hair trimmed by a member, and Bell picked up her phone:)

Friday we dropped off another Bible, and got her to take a book of Mormon too:) Then we did free speech alley at LSU and that is always fun. Nice daily dose of rejection to make you feel more like a missionary.

Saturday we went out early to help A like we do every now and then. She is one of those people who aren't really an investigator, but you know one day eventually they will join the church. Then we had the adult session of stake conference, and it was great! Really some awesome talks. Then at night we stayed up really late talking to Sister Jones because she is going home this week!! I still got a year so I'm never going home lol.

Sunday was the general session of stake conference. After the conference I gave a painting to an elder, and he gave me a necklace because he does metal work. It's a mountain with the silhouette of the bountiful temple cut out of it, that he then put in a chemical that turned it blue so it looked like it came from the ocean. It's so cool!!! We also had a phone lesson with C and P, then a dinner appointment with a really cool family.

Monday we had all sorts of stuff planned, but did none of it because Bell woke up with pinkeye. We sprayed everything down, she slept for a while, I took her to the urgent care, and we chilled in our apartment. Then we got transfer calls, so we started packing and I got almost all the way done:) I feel good about transfers. I feel like I did what I was supposed to do in BR. So today will be signing transfer journals and saying goodbye, but change is good.

So that's my week!! I love you all!!! Keep writing!!!
