"I'm a little teapot short and peeved" (week 23)

My family and friends! How are things? I know some things are pretty great there in Utah because a certain sister of mine went and got ENGAGED!!! Can't say I'm surprised;) Congratulations Whitney♥ Its been pretty best here in Louisiana as well. This week I have seen a lot of blessings and miracles.

Monday we just emailed and chilled at the church. Not very exciting.

Tuesday was my 5 month mark! Most month marks are actually pretty hard for me because I suddenly get homesick, but today was better than the rest of them:) First we had district meeting. A senior couple that works in the office joined us, and they bought us lunch! Then we came home for comp study and some record updating. Then we had a dinner appointment with the bishops family and it was pretty fun:) After that we ran to Walmart to buy things to give to a sweet single lady in the ward for Valentine's day.

Valentines day we started by taking the single sister some flowers, chocolates, and banana bread at her work. She was SO excited. It was so sweet. We talked to her for a bit, and Knuteson helped her fix Word lol. Then we left, and heart attacked her home door as kind of a "but wait, there's more!" After that we spent another while transferring records to the phones. Then we visited a struggling family in the ward, then made a quick guest appearance at the youth valentines day activity. Then that night, the sister that we brought the stuff to, called us and asked if we had decorated her door. She knew it was us. Then she told us that her dad actually died on Valentines day years ago, so this holiday is usually a really hard one for her. But she told us that we turned that around, and she had the best Valentines day ever. It was so sweet and I started crying a little bit.

Thursday was more transferring records because that will take 5ever. Then more visiting people. Then a dinner appointment with a returned senior sister missionary.

Friday morning we played paramedic for the Green's cat that got in a fight. Then we visited a recent convert in this literal village for crazy people. Interesting idea. Then we visited a less active and had a little bible study with her. She was paralyzed and learned to walk again. She's pretty cool.

Saturday was really cool. We went out early for a service project with the food bank. There were a lot of fun members there, including an area 70. Then we had a lesson with an investigator, this really sweet, funny, old lady. We answered her questions about the plan of salvation, and she fed us lunch. I think she is really close to being ready to be baptized. Then that night we had the adult session of stake conference. We got there late and sat by this girl who was by herself. After a little bit she leaned over and asked us what the book of Mormon was. Long story short she was invited by a member but didn't know anything about the church except that she had seen the elders around. We took her into another room and taught her the Restoration. Now she is our friend, her name is C, and basically needs to get dunked. After the meeting we also had interviews with Pres because why not.

Sunday was also really cool. C came again. She loved it. We gave her a Book of Mormon. She started reading the introduction. She is so cute. After the meeting she promised to come back to church next week. Then another lady came up to us and told us that she wanted to be baptized. She had had her records removed, so I don't really know what the procedure is there. Then we were waiting outside for a while because Pres. was doing more interviews and we wanted to talk to him, and our other investigator J showed up to show us pictures of his new born baby, and to offer to teach me how to draw blood XD (Not what I expected but he is a nurse). Then we had a really fun meal appointment, and on the way home, someone from Texas called us and said that they think their friend who lives in our area is ready to take the missionary lessons!

Monday was great too. We had district meeting then district lunch. Then a member sent us on a quest to get flowers and balloons and a card for J and his wife to congratulate them on their new baby, and that took a good minute. Knuteson also showed me this really cute hipster tea shop and we tried their herbal tea. Then we had a dinner appointment with some more fun members.

Now today is P-day, and also the day that I have ONE YEAR LEFT AS A MISSIONARY. That kind of freaks me out. I feel like I just got here, but I am already 1/3rd of the way done!🤤 This really is going to go fast.

So that's my week. Sorry it's long, but I thought it was awesome. Congratulations if you made it all the way to the end of this. I love you all! Here are a few out of context quotes;

"I'm a little teapot short and peeved."

"I thought the raisins were the reason for the jiggle."

"Are you a Latter-Day Saint? Or a Latter-Day Ain't?"

"If he writes, he writes. If I perish, I perish."
