"I don't want joy, I want nice calves!" (week 24)

Hi there! How are my family and friends doing? I'm still doing pretty great. Still kicking. This week kind of went in waves for me I feel like. Some days we were crazy busy, and some days were just kind of meh. Just felt like nothing got done. But that's what happens.

Tuesday was P-day. We didn't do much. Chilled at the church, went to target. Then we had a slightly awkward dinner appointment.

Wednesday was a lot of rain and a lot of homework. It was yuck.

Thursday was pretty great. We did service at the food bank alongside some inmates. They were pretty cool. S was my favorite. He gave us a good speech about how women are queens. Knuteson is having some issue with a boy, and he said to send him on his way. We would but he is in Utah, and we might never see him again if S got to him. Then we had a meeting with a lady who had left the church but wanted to come back. Then we had an AWESOME lesson with our investigator C. The 14 year old girl we met at stake conference. Her 12 year old sister wanted to know what we believed, so we taught the Restoration and it went great. They want to come to church together, and we talked about baptism. I think this could really change their entire future.

Friday we did service at the Manna House for a few hours, a place where homeless people can come get a hot meal. It was humbling to see all of these people in the circumstances that they are in. One thing that I thought was cool, I had one homeless guy look at me and ask if I was a nurse, or if I was going to be a nurse in the future, and I told him that was my plan. It was just really random, but kinda cool because he seemed to know. Then we helped a lady fix Microsoft Word again. Then we went to visit B in her group home again. This time it was a lot more emotional for her, and we were able to bear our testimonies about God's love for all of his children.

Saturday was kind of a flop day. Mostly it was just ward correlation, weekly planning and comp study, and a dinner appointment that went way late because we got talking for a long time. Also I got asked to sing at a funeral in March for a lady that hasn't even died yet! They are just pretty sure that she will be dead by then...

Sunday during 3rd hour we played in the gym with this little autistic child to keep him busy. He sang with me for a bit and it was really cute. Then after church we went to a baptism for a cute little girl who just turned 8 and it was a lot of fun! It made me miss all my little cousins:( Then they had a taco bar which was delicious and we sat and chatted with the ward members for a while and played with the kids and it was really fun.

And today we still don't know what we are doing. I know we have both a lunch appointment and a dinner appointment #blessed.

So that's my week. I hope everyone is doing good! I look forward to hearing from you!! I love youuuuuuuu!
