"I don't need a tablet to magnify my screen, or my calling." (week 22)

Duuuuudes let me tell you what's up. First I will start from last time we talked;) Tuesday was transfer P-day, so after emailing we did the transfer journal signing, then we went around and said goodbye to some members and investigators. It was kind if sad:(

Wednesday was TRANSFERS! We woke up and packed everything in the car, then went to breakfast with a few missionaries, then we had transfers which is a few hours of moving luggage and talking and saying goodbye. I really am going to miss a few people in my baby BR zone. But I will see them again. Then we went to lunch, then I made the 2.5 mile drive to Alexandria in the rain! I survived though so it's chill. I met my new comp, and went to my new house. I LOVE this house. We live with members in this adorable two story farm style house, and we get the whole upstairs. The only problems with the house is the stairs are scary and we have ladybugs everywhere. That night I mostly unpacked and got to know Sister Knuteson. I love her.

Thursday we went to a funeral. Kinda sad, but I got to meet some members. Then we had a really intense study session for the lesson we had that night. It was with this street preacher bible scholar guy. He was really nice, fed us and the Elders dinner. But then he led this "discussion" about the law given at Sinai and that God might have a body of a bird and random stuff like that and he didn't really let us teach him, but it was interesting.

Friday we had a technology training that took about 3 years. Really it was only 6 hours which is still a lot of sitting. Mostly it was pretty good. There was some humor. But then at the end Elder Seidel started to spit some fire on us, and it was pretty intense. The church can see everything we do on these phones, and if we have a problem with that, if we have something to hide or if we can't follow the rules, then why are we here? These phone can do wonders for the work, but with great power comes great responsibility. We needed a bit of fire to make that point.

Saturday I went to my first fish fry! It all actually tasted so good. I didn't eat a lot of fish growing up, but the fish tastes great out here. I am finally getting some real Louisiana food!

Sunday was a LOT of church because we cover two wards. Both wards are small so we are asked to do a lot in church. I said a prayer and gave a 20 minute talk. And Knuteson prayed and led the music. Then after church we went to a MARDI GRAD PARADE!!! It was freezing and there were drunk high schoolers everywhere, but there was good food and I caught a lot of beads:) I had fun.

Y'all I am really so excited to be here. From the companion to the house to the wards to the area. It's not perfect and there is work to be done, but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't perfect. Keep writing!!! I miss you and I love you!!!!!!!!

Out of context quotes;

"I love when my humans taste like fish."

"Heavenly father loves potluck just as much as I love potluck."

"Heavenly father told me I had to find the cute plates today."

"My phone just went Sith."

"You are handling things surprisingly well considering got just found out your boyfriend is now your girlfriend."
