“I hope Heavenly Father doesn’t look like us. I hope he looks better. I hope he wears Prada!” (Week 17)

Hey hey y’all!! How are you? Things have been pretty good here. I don’t really have anything to say for my opening paragraph, so I will just skip to the next one.

Tuesday was p-day and it was pretty boring. I’m not going to go into detail.

Wednesday also wasn’t too crazy. We did service at the Old State Capital, then Sister Bell was feeling pretty sick and thought she was going to pass out, so we came home and she slept for a while. That night we had another dinner/lesson with a recent convert J. Her and Z are the cutest couple and I just love hanging out with them. Also the spirit was really strong and I always enjoy that. Then when we got home I did some painting. I have so many people asking me to do paintings, I had to make an actual waiting list, but it is SO FUN! So far painting, singing, and being short is what I’m known for and I am totally okay with that.

Thursday our Roomies came with us to service at USS KIDD, and that made it more fun. Then that night we had dinner with Kathy again. Sister Bell got to meet her and she loves her! Then we listened to Hank Smith for comp study while I painted some more.

Friday we did some service, then spent a while trying to find some referrals. That took a while. Now here is where the fun happens. That night we got to go to an LSU GYMNASTICS MEET! Be jealous Whitney;) It was really fun. We sat way at the top with the LSU missionaries. Turns out I actually care about gymnastics way more than basically any other sport, and I think it I because of Whitney. I got cool pics, I will send them.

Saturday we did a crazy service project with the fire department and the American Red Cross, where we went around and installed fire alarms in people’s houses. Almost all of the houses we went into had all of their gas stoves on high, and I guess that is how they warm their house, but it is sooooo not safe. We just installed the alarms and didn’t say anything. Then we finally got back over to C’s house to start teaching her the new member lessons. She hadn’t been responding to our texts to we finally just stopped by and she let us in. It went great. Then we came home for dinner and comp study.

Sunday was fine. We had a bit of an issue when M came to church. She kept arguing in class, and the teacher wasn’t able to teach his lesson. I finally whispered to her and asked her if she could try to listen more, and let some other people share their thoughts, and she took that as me saying that she isn’t allowed to talk and that she is awful and should never come back to church and she started yelling and crying and I was just not going to do that right then with a 50-year-old lady. One of the Elders and a really really nice Japanese lady took the responsibility to calm her down, because she wasn’t going to listen to me. Then after church we FINALLY did weekly planning and it went awesome! I think we are going to have a great week.

So that’s that! I hope y’all are doing great!! I love you so much!!!!
Out of context quotes;
“Maybe the sun IS Heavenly Father!!”
“Don’t you have no Baptist preacher praying over me. You will send me to hell! I want a Mormon praying over me!”
“I didn’t ever tell you about shredded cheese have I?” “No but I’m pretty sure I have heard of it.”
“I hope Heavenly Father doesn’t look like us. I hope he looks better. I hope he wears Prada!”
