Don't drink Sister Reid's black water. It does not have chia seeds in it. (Week 12)

Helloooooo! Hellooooooo! How are youuuuuuuuu? how are youuuuuuuu? I asked you fiiiiiiiiiirst! I asked you fiiiiiiirst! Okay I’m done. Hopefully you all can name that reference. But really how are y’all? I’m doing pretty great. Looking back on my week it actually feels like it went pretty fast. Which is weird because it wasn’t the best one, but maybe I am just getting used to the work. But let’s see how long this email ends up being shall we?

Monday after emailing we chilled at the church. Once again everyone played sports while a few of us sat off to the edge and painted and ate and played guitar. I convinced one person to drink some paint water by telling him it had chia seeds in it. I feel bad about that now. He’s fine though. Then we got invited to a party at a club by one of our investigators who works as a bouncer. We did not go. Huge bummer. Then dinner with a ward member at this fancy place. It was great.

Tuesday was a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me. District meeting/lunch was normal, then we went on exchanges. I worked LSU with Sister Brown, but it was a lot of talking about our feelings and eating ice cream and listening to sad girl music. I don’t know why we do this to ourselves. It was the first time in a while that I’ve actually said out loud all my feelings, and while it was very therapeutic, there were tears. We also had dinner with Jacob’s and institute, both were very fun.

Wednesday the tears of yesterday continued, and I decided to get a blessing. Blessings are awesome. I was slightly out of it the rest of the day. We did Free Speech Alley, then switched back to our companions, then got Panda, then tried some referrals. We got a new investigator named Q. Then dinner with the Faust’s, then a dropped lesson, then home.
Thursday was pretty great. Sister Brady took us grocery shopping. Then we did service at the USS KIDD. Then we visited a less active J, and he got us a new investigator! He invited his roommate to our bible study, and J helped us teach him the restoration, and he said he would read and pray about the Book of Mormon! Then Chick-fil-a with a member, then we visited the G family. That was my favorite part of the day. J just recently got baptized, and her husband Z has been a member his whole life. We started teaching the new member lessons, which turns out is just the discussions again in more depth. The spirit was awesome and they are hilarious and kind so it was great. Then we had some comp study. Go look up D&C 76:5-6, those verses are kind of awesome.

Friday we went to the library to watch the Light The World videos, and everyone should participate in that. Visit Mormon.org for more details;) Then we went to M’s house, and she asked us about angels and the metatron and Loki and the literal children of Christ and it was kind of a mess. Then we met with another less active named C, and we learned why she is in a mental retirement home. She was having some pain, and she said that it was a satanic witch doctor who worked there that was causing the pain, and that she had been divinely commissioned to be an undercover crime fighter, then she started prophesying about our spiritual gifts. She forgot that verses were a thing, so she thought me and my comp were just super in tune with the spirit because we knew when to switch off reading. We didn’t correct her. After that we went to C’s house and taught her daughter and niece the restoration. Then we did service at the Old State Capital for their Santa at the Senate event. We got to watch fireworks from the roof of the castle while eating donuts, so that was awesome. Then I was a very convincing elf and helped children do crafts for about 2.5 hours. Awesome day.

Saturday we started off by tracting with the Light The World Christmas videos. Got a new investigator named Q. Then we helped the Jacobs again with their moving. Then we taught Q again. Then we tried visiting N again. She is still crazy. We were able to share some scriptures with her, then she had us leave because she was getting upset and wanted to smoke. Then we went to K’s house, and we were just planning on staying for a bit, but she ended up feeding us dinner and she had us paint some ceramics, so we stayed a lot longer than planned but it was awesome.

Then on Sunday, K came to church for the first time since us being here! I love her. C also brought her sister, who we have never met before, and her sister got up and bore her testimony and said she was looking for spiritual direction in her life! Well I know where you can find some spiritual direction!! Obviously I talked to her, and we are meeting with her this Tuesday. Then Sunday night we were searching for some lost ward members, and we found one lady who had an accident and became paralyzed, then she lost her phone and all of her numbers, and she has just been waiting for someone from the church to come find her. We are going to make sure she has home teachers and stuff.

Well that’s all! I forgot to write down any out of context quotes. Instead y’all should just look up Acts 20:6-12, it’s pretty funny. I hope everyone is doing well! Keep emailing me!! I love you!!!!!!!
